Project Information

‘In Search of Eastern Sages’ is a trial of the application of the Mini Chronicles teaching method at Assink Lyceum.
In the process, students receive instruction in documentary filmmaking and teachers acquire the skills to guide their students in this endeavor. The learning resources consist of videos, instructional cards, scripts and a production file. These are offered in a differentiated way for all VMBO levels.

Life stories of the border region

The life stories of entrepreneurs and residents of the region are the subject of the films. The films will be shown at a film premiere where the local community is welcome. The final productions will be included in Minikronicles’ online film collection and can be used for educational and social purposes. By making the films, students come into contact with residents and entrepreneurs in the region.

This project is made possible by the Fonds voor Cultuurparticipatie, from the scheme ‘Reinforcing culture education VMBO’.
