A Minichronical is a short film in that ordinary people pictures it with passion. Production of Minichronicles happens during the projects. Minichronicle project includes training amateur filmmakers, the production of the films and premiere.

There are two types of participants: the narrators of the films and the students who make the films. The students learn to film with a smartphone and editing with a computer program.

This method is designed to offer participants a new perspective and human connection.

Since 2014:
  • 43 participants attended the training as  Minichronicle filmmaker.
  • 24 narrators had the opportunity to tell their story in Minichronicles
  • 8 organizations from Twente have participated in the project.

The Minichronicle method has been developed by Masja de Roy. She has been using videos and films as a self-development tool for more than 20 years. She teaches none- professional filmmakers how to use video in their work to connect with their audience. Her mission is to help people in a vulnerable position to be able to participate in the society. This is what she is doing in her”media bureau for participation”: CIMPA-T.
